A Valuable Resource - courtalert.com's Tip of the Week

One of the most valuable services to the litigation community in New York City is the calendaring and case-tracking service offered by courtalert.com.  Now courtalert is offering a Tip of the Week column.  This week's column alerts us to the fact that the actual calendar sheets recording motion dispositions for New York County Supreme Court (Room 130) can be viewed online.  To access great case calendar tracking as well as these value added services such as the Tip of the Week, go to courtalert.com and subscribe to their service.

WEBCRIMS site updated to include indictment information and calendar searches

WEBCRIMS -- the Unified Court System's future appearance site for criminal cases in the criminal and supreme courts in the Bronx, Dutchess, Erie, Kings, Nassau, New York, Orange, Putnam, Queens, Richmond, Rockland, Suffolk, and Westchester -- has recently been updated to include future criminal court calendars as well as the specific charges pending in a particular criminal action.  Click here to access the site.  Once in the site, you can perform either a case search (by docket number or defendant name) or a calendar search.

Notice to the Bar: OCA Projects that most court records will go online

On Feb. 25, 2004, the Office of Court Administration announced that they plan to put most court records which are thought of as "public records," online. Read their full Press Release here.

CourtAlert.com has added new Supreme Court New York County ex parte forms to its voluminous form index. From the main page, chose "forms" at the top bar of the page and select "Ex Parte, etc."

e-LAW.com has added search capacity for Supreme Court cases within all counties of New York State. They have also added an "eServe" service to aid in the process of "legal document distribution, management and confirmation." Click here to see their press release for this new feature.
