New Mapping Site: Google

So you're preparing your file for a deposition or trial and you need to see a map of an accident site.  Try the new mapping site at http://maps.google.com/.  You can search by entering an address, an intersection, or even an approximate location.  Okay, now it's after the EBT, and the plaintiff has testified that they use a pharmacist but don't remember which one.  Use the approximation search and search for "pharmacy near [plaintiff's address]" and voila!, up pops a map of every pharmacy near that address.  Come to think of it, run the search BEFORE the EBT so you're prepared with all the local pharmacies AT the EBT.

Can a satellite photograph help prove or defend your traffic accident case?

Hard to tell. But it's probably worth a look to check out the Globe Xplorer Image Atlas web site. Just type in the address of the location you are interested in and within seconds a dated watermarked aerial photograph is presented for your review. Users can subscribe to the site as well as order prints of the photos.

. . . why Google? . . .

If you thought Google was just a text search engine, think again. Did you know you can use it as a:
* calculator
* map locator
* FedEx tracker
* dictionary, or to find
* airport travel conditions

. . . getting street maps

At auto accident EBT(s), having a street map of the accident location can be crucial during questioning about a party's progress toward the accident site.

One of the best ways to pinpoint a map of your accident site and its surroundings is to use the map generator at expedia.com. At their "Find a Map" link, you can search for maps by address or by intersection. Once you've found a map or maps that are helpful, print them.
