From Sep. 30th through Oct. 26, 2008, the Community School of Music & and Arts (CSMA) is holding an Arts for All Marathon in which local artists and musicians are creating mini-marathons to raise money for arts scholarships to CSMA's great music and arts programming.
So here's my contribution: a marathon, a sprint, and a gift.
The Marathon
From September 30th through October 26, 2008, I'll conduct a 27-day drawing marathon by posting one drawing each day to the www.undermyhead.com web site.
The Sprint
After each day's drawing is posted to the web, the first person who requests the drawing by e-mail (to ed@edmarion.com) during the Marathon will get it. It's that simple. See, complete e-mail rules, below.
The Gift
I'm asking each day's winner to donate something (suggested donation: $10) to CSMA's Scholarship fund. Click on the link at http://www.csma-ithaca.org/Marathon/pledge.html to find information on how to write your check to CSMA or donate online with one click through CSMA's paypal site.
The Rules
After each day's drawing is posted, send your drawing request e-mails to ed@edmarion, including in the subject line the words "drawing request." In the body of your e-mail, please include:
~ the date of the drawing you want, e.g., "Sep. 30" or "Oct. 4," etc., and
~ your name and "snail mail" address so that I can send you the actual drawing.
Please remember to send your e-mail request only after each day's drawing is posted. Once the first request is received by me, I'll notify the winner and update the site to reflect the unavailability of each drawing.
All drawings unclaimed as of 6:48 p.m. on Sunday, Oct. 26, 2008 revert back to me. So don't be shy. As long as you contribute to CSMA for each drawing, you can ask for more than one.
